About Us
Firebird Yoga
Firebird Yoga began as friends practicing yoga during the COVID-19 pandemic. Outdoors and safely distanced, we formed a yoga pod that met weekly. Because we were outside, neighbors began stopping and sharing how much they missed practicing with a group or that yoga was something they wanted to try.
The increasing numbers launched a second yoga pod of new friends that called their group Firebird Yoga since they all lived on Firebird Drive. Special thanks to each of them for their encouragement and suggesting the name Firebird Yoga.
Every yoga student deserves to be inspired by their instructor. If you have tried yoga and thought it wasn’t for you, let me help you try it again either as your instructor or by helping you find an instructor that will inspire you. Contact me and tell me what you are looking for and I will try to help you find an instructor that meets your needs.
Cindy Lamkin, Certified Yoga Instructor
Yoga has been a part of my life for more than 10 years, and my practice has helped me grow stronger, more flexible and fearless, both on and off the mat. Yoga inspires me to live each moment more thoughtfully.
I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training with Livin in Flow (www.taylorwray.love). Since completing that course, I have earned certifications in Yoga Nidra, Restorative Yoga, and Thai Yoga Bodywork. I will always be a yoga student and strive to continue learning. I am deeply grateful for the loving wisdom my teachers continue to share with me.
I teach classes I would love to take as a student. Classes are carefully planned to be safe yet fun with a variety of breathing techniques and postures along with lots of options. My goal is to help others improve their lives by nurturing body, mind, and soul with yoga; completing class feeling refreshed, nourished and balanced.”
Off the mat, I’ve practiced as a dental hygienist. Currently I teach dental continuing education classes and write dental assisting textbooks.
